Robotic World Explorer, which is claimed as the world's first house robot, unveiled its presence in Jakarta, Indonesia.
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Robotic World Explorer, a house robot that is claimed to be the first in the world, inaugurated in Jakarta. Located on the 2nd floor of City Thamrin, Jakarta, home robot was opened by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono and inaugurated by the Research and Technology Suharna Surapranata on Saturday (12/11/2010) yesterday.
Suharna reveals, "I hope the opening of the house's first robot in the world can arouse curiosity and creativity among the young generation that could give birth to new innovations in the field of robotics."
"House of robotics could invite young people to think systemically," continued Suharna. Robotic Sciences invites young people to study various disciplines, such as mechanics, coordination, psychology, and communication.
The opening of robotic home is both a marker that Indonesia made substantial progress in the field of robotics. Robotic home area of 2580 square meters this house got a record Muri as the world's first robot.
Jully Tjindrawan, founder of the World Robotic Explorer, said, "So glad this could be the first in the world. Maybe Muri has been doing research for three months and then stated that this is the home of the world's first robot."
According Jully, home robot is not only serves as a vehicle for entertainment, but also can be used as a vehicle for education. Jully said, "The concept is to space as well as study tours, where visitors could come only once."
"At home this robot, a three-year-old visitor to adults can come and explore, see robots that are to begin to develop it. This is a good time to start building," said Jully.
The house which was established robotic divided into eight rooms. There is a creativity room where visitors can hone creativity, workshop room for training, the trial room to experiment, the robot shop for sale, a gallery to exhibit works, laboratory, movie room, and e-learning center.
The plan, home robots will be opened to the public after the date of December 20, 2010. The house robot will be opened in two sessions, first session starting at 08:30 to 13:00 and the second session starts at 13.00 until 17.00.
For the entry fee, visitors can pay Rp 150,000 per visit or become a member by paying annual Rp 5 million per year that could be repaid with payments through Bank Permata and the BCA.
Space robotic home could be said to accommodate 275 people. "We deliberately designed so that not too many people so that visitors could be more to explore inside, not too dense," says Jully.
Targeted, is capable of bringing robotics house 12,000 to 15,000 visitors per month. Finally, Jully hope, "Hopefully this can be a platform for the robotic community in Indonesia."

Cool.
ReplyDeleteMr.Tasman Halim himself designed a robot for his end-study assignment at the Faculty of Electronic of University of Atmajaya-Jakarta.
So he has the advantage to help spread awareness about robot technology, and make indonesia proud.
